Setting Up Marijuanna Camera Servers

Setting Up Marijuanna Camera Servers

All Marijuana grow operations are required by OLCC to pass the check list provided in this link.

The main points that are relevant to us in the document are:
1. 24/7 video surveillance of all areas that will contain product or are necessary to reach product. This includes all entrances, exits, hallways, and rooms required for marijuana processing.
2. 90 days of on-site surveillance recordings. Quality of 1280x720 px and 10 fps or better.
3. 30 days of off-site backup (Cloud Cam) of the server/server room.
4. Battery supply that provides power to all cameras for 60 minutes in the case of main power loss.

To Fulfill the points 1 & 2 on the list, please refer to the 2 guides below for setting up the camera servers.
For information on setting up cameras and servers using the Exacqvision server software, please refer to the link below.

For information on setting up cameras and servers using the Vast 2 server software, please refer to the link below.

To Fulfill point 3 on the list, please refer to the guide below for setting up Cloud Camera access.
To Fulfill point 4 on the list, install a UPS power supply that is rated to last for more than an hour on the given server load. If measurement of the power systems is not possible (it rarely is), as a safe bet assume the systems will require 300W of power to operate. This would mean the UPS you supply would need to have 300Wh or more of backup supply. A good source for finding the appropriate supply is provided below:

Setting up the server using Exacqvision or Vast 2 software covers point 1 and 2 from the list above. Installing a proper UPS supply that provides 60 minutes or more of continuous power

Port forwarding is required on all routers to allow Exacqvision Clients to connect to the server. This is also required for setting up cloud cameras for OLCC requirements.

Make sure to add port forwarding rules for ports 80, 88, 22609 to allow all TCP/UDP traffic.
