This article is to help assist with setting up Cloud Camera Configuration for Cannabis camera servers.
For configuring the camera to allow access for external storage, you need to make sure it is not on a private subnet. Most of the time when setting up a server, the cameras will be on a private subnet separated from all other devices on the network. Make sure the camera is on the same subnet that provides internet access to the server.
Log into the camera and go to the streaming settings. You will need to make sure that both HTTP streaming and RTSP streaming are enabled and configured correctly. Configure the HTTP streaming as seen below.
For the RTSP streaming, configure as seen below.
Now that the camera has been properly configured, you need to setup the connection to the outside cloud camera service. First log into the router and forward ports 8082 and 1082 to the address of the camera. This allows the cloud camera service to properly communicate directly with the camera. Second, go into your HostedCloudVideo.com account. Setup the camera under the proper user as seen below. In the Username and Password fields, put the username and password for the camera that you just configured above.
Should the test connection fail to connect, press the reconfigure connection before testing again.
